Plan Sponsor and Fiduciary Update 2010
MANCHESTER, NH - Eldridge Investment Advisors in association with Stephen Eldridge & Company will host a series of 2010 Plan Sponsor and Fiduciary Update luncheons in Manchester, NH, and Burlington, MA, geared for plan sponsors, trustees, executives or employees charged with administering their company’s 401(K) or retirement and benefit plans.
Moderator Sean P. Riley, a retirement plan specialist with Eldridge Investment Advisors, has assembled a panel of experts to address new developments in fee disclosure and fiduciary laws to inform plan sponsors on how to keep their retirement plans competitive and compliant while managing the exposure to corporate and personal liability. The discussion will provide a review of best practices and an overview of ERISA fiduciary concepts that impact the way a company’s retirement plan is structured and operates.

Peter Tawney, Baker Newman Noyes, LLC
Peter is a principal in the firm’s audit division and he oversees the firm’s employee benefit plan practice. He joined Baker Newman Noyes in 2010 after many years with Ernst & Young, where he led the New England area employee benefit plan audit practice. Peter has extensive experience providing audit and advisory services to employee benefit plan clients. He has helped hundreds of benefit plan clients successfully navigate the audit and financial reporting process.
John E. Rich, Jr., McLane Law Firm
John advises clients regarding compliance with ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, COBRA, HIPAA and other complex federal laws applicable to employee benefit plans. He frequently represents clients before the IRS and United States Department of Labor in audits and investigations, and represents clients in litigation involving employee benefit plans. John provides advice to employers regarding all forms of executive compensation and health and welfare plans. John also advises executives concerning stock options, compensation issues and estate planning involving IRAs and retirement benefits.
Craig Garner, QPA Stephen Eldridge & Company, Inc.
Craig is a Qualified Pension Administrator and member of the American Society of Pension Actuaries. Since 1985, Craig has specialized in retirement plan design, consulting, and administration of large employer plans. He oversees the technical, compliance and quality control aspects of the Retirement Plan Administration Department.
